German Lawmaker Supports WDA’s International Agreement

On 3 May, the World Dog Alliance (WDA) met with German lawmaker Zoe Mayer to discuss the promotion of the International Agreement to Prohibit the Eating of Dogs and Cats in Germany. At the meeting, Miss Mayer gave a very promising response that she pledged to discuss the issue with her party members to seek more support.

Miss Mayer is the Green Party’s spokesperson on animal protection and a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Food. She is a vegan, which suggests why she is supportive of WDA’s campaign.

The concept of being meatless has become a worldwide trend recently, not only in Europe and America, but also in Asia. Currently there is still pushback from relevant stakeholders such as animal breeders and meat vendors, but thanks to the technology, we now have man-made meat as replacements. Our founder Genlin believes that it is only a matter of time for humans to abandon the tradition of eating animals.

With human civilization, it is believed that in the near future vegetarianism will become widespread throughout the world. This is why WDA’s founder Genlin has proposed the idea of ‘Trinity of Sustainability: Human, Environment, Animal’ and advocated for a constitution that enshrines the spirit of equality between humans and animals. Initially, the WDA called to “Change Human Society, and Save Dogs and Cats”. After 10 years in the field of animal welfare, Genlin had an epiphany and sublimated his original philosophy to propose ‘Trinity of Sustainability: Human, Environment, Animal’.
