China Congress to Debate a Ban on Dog and Cat Meat Consumption

Hong Kong majority party is about to propose a ban on dog and cat meat consumption in China during two sessions held from the 21st to 22nd of May. World Dog Alliance is thrived to have contributed by providing a vast amount of research data on the issue, and they accept our advice on the bill.

On April 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China released the National Catalog of Animal Genetic Resources and Livestock seeking public consultation after Genlin, the Founder of World Dog Alliance, wrote two letters to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. Dogs and cats are removed from the list of livestock, and have been categorized as companion animals in the country as a result.
