926 Dog Lovers’ Day Around the World

World Dog Alliance founded and celebrated 926 Dog Lovers’ Day in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy and Hong Kong on 26th September 2015. The goal of the celebration is to remind people that dogs are our best friends. More importantly, no one should treat our best friends with the brutality involved in the Asian dog meat trade.

Our slogan for Dog Lovers’ Day finds its roots in the Cantonese language. In Cantonese, the phonetically pronunciation of 9.2.6. is similar to “gui yi luk” which means “A dog is easily happy and can easily make people happy.”
